Across the years, I have had the privilege to chauffeur over forty couples on their getaway ride. This time is my reward, a chance to share in these couples’ celebrations in vintage getaway fashion.
My questions to them are typical: “How’d you two meet?” and “Where are you honeymooning?” The answers vary and I learn something unique about every couple I encounter. It’s a special time for a vintage chauffeur.
Forty weddings led to a story that had to be told. “Vintage Honeymoon” chronicles Will and Jocelyn Wheeler on the cusp of their wedding, until a getaway in a vintage Pontiac displaces them to Depression-Era Clare, Michigan. As they arrive with nothing but the clothes on their backs, this journey will test their marriage while they learn the value of community.
