Getaway Conversations

As a vintage car getaway driver, I've had the privilege of witnessing many joyful moments. But one ride with Donavan and Lauren stands out in my memory. After their ceremony, as they settled into the classic car, there was an air of relaxation as they exhaled the tension of the day. While some couples chat among themselves, others are more than happy to share their stories with me.

That’s when Lauren casually mentioned that their wedding day wasn't just any ordinary day—it was also their six-year "kissaversary." Intrigued, I asked her to explain, and she told me that a "kissaversary" marks the anniversary of a couple’s first kiss. How sweet is that? Their wedding day had turned into a double celebration: a lifetime commitment to each other, on the very same day they first locked lips.

The ride turned into a lively, laughter-filled conversation, and I couldn’t help but smile. It’s moments like these that remind me just how unique and special each love story is—and how lucky I am to be part of the journey, even if it's just for a few miles.
